Welcome to Clarion Lodge Campsite Yorkshire, we are open all year round.
For some great Yorkshire camping & glamping, book a stay at Clarion Lodge. We have spacious Big Chief Wigwam® Cabins, offering superb glamping in fully heated, insulated timber cabins. Each cabin sleeps a family of up to five and includes comfy mattresses, heating, lighting, electric sockets, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster.
Clarion Lodge also welcomes tents, caravans and motorhomes, with ten hard standings with electric hook up, tent area, ladies and gents toilet/shower block with free hot water and wash-up facilities in our communal Log Cabin.
Otley Chevin is a fabulous place to visit, and is open all year round. Walking, climbing, cycling, riding … the activities are endless!
The nearest market town is Otley, which hosts regular markets and the renowned Otley Show in May. Other events include the Carnival in June; the Folk Festival in September and the Victorian Fayre in December. A plethora of pubs means there are plenty of places in which you can relax and enjoy some great Yorkshire food.
You’ll have heard of Ikley Moor from the famous song Ilkley Moor Baht ‘at, and Clarion Lodge is just a few miles away from this iconic site. Close to the town is site of the famous Cow and Calf rock formation. This natural landmark is a great place to have a picnic and put those walking boots to the test!
Almscliffe Crag is also nearby (North Rigton) and is often featured in many TV series and films.
The spa town of Harrogate, which includes the world famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, Turkish baths and spa, is within easy driving distance, as is one of Yorkshire’s mightiest cities, Leeds, which has fabulous shopping, The Royal Armouries, Thackray Medical Museum, the Henry Moore Institute, Roundhay Park Tropical World and many more attractions.
Other nearby attractions include Bolton Abbey and Harewood House.
Of course, you can’t mention Yorkshire without mentioning the Brontes, perhaps the world’s most famous literary family. The surviving three sisters and one brother lived in Haworth, a small village in the South Pennines. You can visit their home in this hilly part of Yorkshire and see where Charlotte, Emily and Anne, along with brother Branwell, wrote stories and novels that are read by millions today.
The world-famous cycle race, the Tour De Yorkshire, takes place in April or May each year and takes in some challenging routes close to Clarion Lodge.
