August 2016
We stayed here over the August Bank Holiday weekend, with our 8-man tent.

First impressions were very good - the owner is very friendly and greeted us when we arrived, then showed us the various facilities.

The campsite is small, with stunning views. There are only 2 toilets and 1 shower for each gender, but we never had to queue. The showers were free, powerful and hot - and none of those annoying push buttons that time out every 10 seconds. There is a separate hut for washing up, with 2 sinks and draining boards. This is one of the places you can also get your drinking water - the other is outside the toilet block.

As the site is small there is no shop or playground - although there was a plastic playhouse for smaller kids.

Not far from Otley where there are shops and restaurants, and there is a pub a couple of hundred yards walk away.

We were really impressed with this campsite - lovely location, fantastic owners and very reasonably priced (£15 pn or £18 with ehu)

Myself and my wife just spent four days here. Really enjoyed it. Well worth the visit. Very nice people and helpful at all times, nothing was too much trouble. Will be returning back very soon. Nice walks, views. Shops not too far away, within walking distance

Brillant Wigwam………………
Stayed recently for one night in one of the 3 WigWams.

They are brilliant and have all you need for a comfy stay.

The WigWams are quite large and the beds can be combined to make one huge bed.

The site overall is very clean and tidy with good facilities and run by a lovely woman called Jo.

Plenty of space to have a BBQ too.

Would definitely reccomend this place to others.

Great Site………………
We booked to stay for 2 nights in our tent during August. We had a warm welcome and were given all information we may need before setting up the tent! The site itself has some great views and is a great size, toilets and showers were always clean when we visited. One shower was not a problem during our stay - it was always empty when I needed it! Added bonus was wifi! It meant we could watch a film together after our 8 year old had gone to sleep and needed it to be dark! Would definitely return!

Absolutely Wonderful
I forgot to write a review when I stayed in a Wigwam in November, but I've also recently arrived home from a wonderful trip to the same campsite staying in a tent. Both trips have been really good. Jo, the owner, is wonderful and so friendly. Fresh eggs are available on request from the chickens that Jo owns. Showers & toilets are modern and always tidy. The tent pitches are also a great size. Will definitely be back in the future. Thank you so much Jo for another brilliant stay!

So relaxing & Friendly
Me & my partner stayed in the beech wigwam last night. For someone who hates to camp & be away from home comforts i literally can't fault it! Huge comfy bed, toilets immaculate & such a welcoming environment! The wigwams are spacious with kettle, toaster, microwave & fridge. The bed is bloody huge! We took disposable BBQs to which we were told stands were provided free of charge, the owner welcomed us and showed us around the site, she was very friendly & helpful. Picnic benches are outside the wigwam and the views are amazing. I must say I was very impressed with the wifi, it was free and super quick to the point where my partner could watch the football on the iPad without any problems. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for a lovely chilled break.

A Lovely Site
We stayed for a weekend back in July at the start of the school holidays taking the tent having already enjoyed a weekend in the pods a year earlier. A family of four I arrived the day before my husband with our children. I was useless at putting up the tent single handedly but there was loads of others there on hand who were more than willing to lend a hand and we were up in no time. A lovely site with fabulous views across the dales. The facilities are great with lovely clean loos and shower.

May 2016
This was a last minute choice and we could not have chose better. Lovely level site, clean and well kept. Fantastic views across the valley. Facilities clean and not far from the field. Owners friendly & informative. Yes it's next to a road and also on the flight path, but to be honest that never bothered us at all. Sitting watching the stunning sunset across the Valley was just perfect!

Nice Little Site…………
We visited Clarion Lodge for the August Bank holiday weekend, due to its proximity to friends and family.

The site is definitely petite, but it is well formed. We were given a warm welcome by the owner, which is always nice.

Although there was only a single shower and a few toilets, for the size of the site this was ample. We were impressed that the owners had the foresight to have an electric shower, which guarantees at least that you get hot water. We find that UK campsites are very good at a) charging extra and/or b) providing tepid showers that provide little water pressure; thankfully Clarion Lodge don't do this.

Although Otley probably wouldn't be most people's first choice for a holiday, it is actually a really convenient base due to its proximity to Ilkley, the Yorkshire Dales, and Leeds. The cost of a stay is probably more affordable than it would be if you stayed within the Dales themselves.

We would definitely visit the site again and would consider the Wigwams in winter as they look very nice.

Lovely Campsite & amazing Views
Loves this campsite. The views are amazing. We stopped in the camping pod. Came with most things u need. Just need to take bedding. Even had a little heater. The lady was super friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers always clean. Love the little washing up hut. Lots of leaflets of things to do in the area. In a good location To explore ilkley and otley. Will deffinelyy be back at some point.

Perfect Site
We stayed her for our first time in may for the weekend . Joanne the owner very friendly and helpful . We stayed in our campervan . Pitch was perfect . Showers and toilets immaculate and sheltered wooden summer house for washing pots etc . Lovely pub 2 mins walk away . Nice walk around the Chevin country park . We went for cycling with our 9 year old son . We cycled to saltaire . We're amazed to find the small roads still quite busy, but felt safe enough . But not 100 percent relaxing when you want a quiet ride . Would stay again . Lovely views from the site and very relaxing chilled out site.

Superb location and facilities, we’ll return
We'd been tempted for some time to pay this site a visit and did so with another family thus booking two of three wigwams. The owners on arrival were lovely and friendly and gave us an insight into the facilities of the site and also the local area. The wigwams are superb, very warm and cosy. They are fairly well equipped as well. We took a slow cooker, which the owners said it was OK to use. The facilities are well looked after on site; toilet/shower blocks to a high standard. The views are great from the site and the site in general is very attractive. We will definitely be back again. This is a great option if you are not familiar with camping, want a bit of luxury or just want a bit of warmth in the cooler months.
